A proud Navy Veteran and a resilient individual living with Muscular Dystrophy, Mr. Blake has channeled his life's journey into advocacy for Homeless Veterans. For over 25 years, he has tirelessly served the Homeless Community, leaving an indelible mark of compassion and support.
Hailing from Baltimore, MD, Barbara Fagan brings a wealth of wisdom to our Board as its Chair. Having earned a Master of Leadership and Teaching from the University of Notre Dame, Ms. Fagan boasts an impressive 45-year tenure in Baltimore City Public Schools as both a teacher and staff developer for grades K-5. Rooted in the firm belief that every child possesses the capacity to learn, she remains a steadfast advocate for children, particularly those facing challenges and in need of extra guidance.
An unwavering advocate for criminal justice in Atlanta, Georgia, Kelly Davie leverages her legal expertise for the greater good. With over twenty years of dedicated advocacy, she has left an impact on social justice, combating sex trafficking, and supporting often overlooked animal sanctuaries. Moreover, her commitment extends to the crucial causes of environmental preservation and restoration on a national scale. Kelly's extensive leadership and administrative background converge in her mission to enhance the lives of underserved children, including those who are disadvantaged and on the spectrum.
Hailing proudly from Savannah, Georgia, Herman contributes his financial expertise to our cause as the Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of Finance and Accounting experience. In both Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as full-cycle accounting. He brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to THE D.A.Z.E.Y. PROJECT. Currently, Herman holds a position as the Finance Director at Millennium Lighting. He has an undergraduate degree from Savannah State University and an MBA from Troy State University. His philosophy is grounded in service. He has always looked for ways to volunteer and be of service, from volunteer activities at work, serving on his church usher board, to fundraising for his kids' sports teams and band booster club. His combined talent in the marketplace, with his volunteer work, underscores his recognition of the invaluable impact of THE D.A.Z.E.Y. PROJECT.
Originating from Caibarien, Cuba, Leysi Artime graces our Board with her unique perspective. Holding a Master's in Adapted Curriculum from the University of Piedmont, she has dedicated the past seven years to the realm of education. Rooted in her philosophy that every child is extraordinary, Ms. Artime specializes in serving children with severe disabilities. Her advocacy stands as a resounding voice for their equitable treatment and the recognition of their innate worth.
Dr. Terita F. Gusby is currently the CEO/ Founder of Education Prescriptions is a virtual education company serving Grades K12 with an emphasis for students with autism spectrum disorders. She has a doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction and a Master of Science in Urban Education Diversity, from Kansas State University. She has 2 Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Elementary Education K-8 and one in Special Education K-12 from Culver-Stockton University. Her educational background includes that of a College Professor; School District Administrator, Charter School Superintendent; Director of ESL Programs; Middle School Vice Principal; Coordinator of Alternate Education Programs, and Director of Special Education Transitions. She has spent over 30 years in Education, and she is presently the Creator of the Autism Academic Learning System which has raised student learning levels supported parents, and developed self-esteem and self-confidence for learning. Dr. Gusby is a Trailblazer in her own right.
